I have been running for about a year now -- I need a high stability shoe and started in a Mizuno which worked well. After 2 pairs, I was looking for something that made me feel a little lighter on my feet. The Saucony ProGrid Omni 8 is great -- it's a Runner's World "choice" shoe. The only thing is that the back tends to slide up and down and so you have to tie the laces a little differently than normal but once you have the right lacing down, the sliding issue disappears.

I was incredibly thrilled when I tried the ProGrid Omni 8 - the best running shoe I have found since the Saucony Jazz from twenty years ago! These shoes fit my feet perfectly. The extra cushioning was heavenly, and the support was just right. I ended up stocking up and bought 4 pairs!

I switched to Saucony shoes a few years ago when my heel pain became so great that I could barely walk. A friend suggested Saucony and I felt relief from the first time I put them on. This is now my 4th pair. But also my first pair in a narrow size. I have an extremely narrow foot and a super narrow heel. I can wear B width shoes but have to tighten the laces down very tight. These fit wonderfully and the only "breaking" in I have to do is training myself not to pull down on the laces so tight. For the first time in maybe my life my shoes were "too tight" this am. LOL. Loosened the laces a bit and they are perfect. I just wish more colors/styles came in narrow width.
These shoes are fabulous. I don't run but wear them to work every day and all day long and I haven't had heel pain in over a year. My old ones will be washed/bleached and kept for camping shoes. They are still good.
I seriously doubt that I'll buy an athletic shoe that isn't Saucony ever. I wouldn't want to risk the heel pain.

I have extremely flat feet, wear orthodics, have weak ankles and, to top it off, I am 6 months pregnant. My old shoes (different brand) made my back and legs hurt and did not provide the support I needed. After reading many reviews and comparing prices of these shoes in various stores, I decided on the Pro Grid Omni 8 through Amazon.com. I am so happy I did. I love these shoes! My orthodics fit perfectly in the shoes and, compared to my old shoes, I feel as though I'm walking on air! While I have not used these shoes for running yet, I wear them for my daily walks and have noticed a huge improvement in the way they feel compared to my old shoes. I don't want to take them off after putting them on. All of the reviews were correct - these are excellent shoes! They fit true to size. I would purchase them again and again. I'm sure I will be putting many, many miles on them and I look forward to it. I highly recommend.
